Terms & Conditions

NHDA Terms & Conditions

Northern Heights Dance & Aerial Limited (NHDA) terms and conditions need to be read and agreed to before signing up to any classes. NHDA is not trying to scare you, but there are potential risks involved therefore it is very important that you are made aware of them. Please contact us with any questions.

You need to appreciate and understand that when signing up to an NHDA class/camp/activity the participant may be subject to danger and this risk cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the qualities of the activity.

Certain risks are involved - bumps, bruises, falls from height, sprained muscles and collision injuries when participating in NHDA activities and you confirm that you are aware of the risks.

You also understand that the Public Liability Insurance carried by Northern Heights Dance & Aerial Limited covers direct acts of negligence and claims resulting from the risks listed above, may be declined if direct negligence cannot be proven.

By accepting these terms and conditions you confirm that you have no known medical conditions that could make participation in this activity dangerous for yourself or others.

Participating in a class with Northern Heights Dance & Aerial Limited is only possible subject to every customer agreeing to our terms and conditions and our medical waiver. This is a pre-requisite, and customers will not be allowed to participate without agreeing to our terms & conditions.

You acknowledge the risks involved in this activity and to the maximum extent permitted by law, release and hold harmless Northern Heights Dance & Aerial Limited and/or their instructors from any and all damage that you may suffer as a result of participation in the activity - provided that nothing in this agreement excludes or limits Northern Heights Dance & Aerial Limited liability in relation to injury caused by their or their instructors negligence.

NHDA Class Policy:

When participating in NHDA classes/camps/workshops you must wear leggings/tracksuit bottoms and a top that can be tucked in or a leotard. No zips preferably as they can damage our silks and hammocks.

NO shorts or crop-tops must be worn (NHDA teachers may not allow a student to participate in the class if they are wearing a crop-top/shorts). The reason for this is due to skin getting burnt/sore due to the aerial equipment.

Please always bring a water bottle to NHDA!

Jewellery must be removed before participating in a class/camp/workshop at NHDA, this is really important for the student and teacher safety and to keep our equipment in good condition. If you have rings /earrings that don’t have any diamonds/bits that could tear the silks and hammocks you can keep them on, but most jewellery must be removed, you will be asked to do so at the start of a class, so it’s best to leave jewellery safely at home.

Please do not bring any nuts or snacks that contain nuts to classes/camps/workshops for snack breaks due to students having nut allergies.

NHDA Cancellation Policies:

Please see below for our cancellation policies. Please note, if we are to issue a refund (dependent on the reasons outlined below) there is a £10 admin fee, which will be deducted from any refund.

Cancellations made 7 days or more in advance:

If you need to cancel your/your child’s termly class/camp/workshop booking you must give at least 7 days’ notice. If the booking is cancelled with 7 days or more notice, you will receive a refund (minus a £10 admin fee). Or alternatively your booking may be able to be transferred to another class/course/camp (subject to availability), less an admin fee of £10 if applicable.

Cancellations made less than 7 days before the start date:

Any cancellations made less than 7 days before the start date of the term/camp/workshop, will not receive a refund, unless we can fill the space. If we can fill the space you will then receive a refund (minus a £10 admin fee).

If we cannot fill the space within these 7 days, you will not receive a refund.

Important Info:

Please note, you cannot cancel a term booking OR camp/workshop booking during the term/camp/workshop. If you/your child don’t want to participate for the remaining days/weeks of a term/camp/workshop, please let us know, so we know who to expect at NHDA. However, no refunds will be made in this case as when booking you have agreed to booking a full term/camp.

Cancellation due to Sickness:

NHDA operate a 48-hour sickness policy, whereby if you*/your child has been sick, you/they mustn’t come to NHDA classes/camps/workshops for the next 48 hours. This is a precautionary measure to protect other students and teachers from infectious sickness bugs. This policy is similar to most schools and activity clubs.

Therefore, please do not come or bring your child to a class/camp/workshop if they have been sick within the past 48 hours and contact us to let us know.

Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds for anyone who has been sick / has a sickness bug as per our cancellation policy of 7 days (please read above). This applies to class, camp & workshop bookings. As we are a small business we cannot refund every student who becomes unwell/misses classes/camp due to sickness.

Cancellation due to Serious Injury/Illness Exemptions:

If you/your child has a serious illness or injury and therefore cannot participate in NHDA classes/camps, please contact us and we will discuss the options for your existing bookings, depending on your situation.

*You meaning an adult who comes to NHDA classes .

NHDA Covid-19/Infectious Viruses Policy:

Although we are not enforcing a strict Covid-19 policy at the moment, we are still ensuring NHDA is a safe and clean studio. We still ask parents/carers to drop their children off at the door for classes & camps, always signing in with a member of NH staff. We do not allow parents/carers to come into the studio during class times (unless it’s an organised performance). Since Covid-19 started we have kept our class sizes smaller than they used to be – therefore every child has their own piece of aerial equipment during classes and we continue to keep our studio as clean as possible at all times.

If you are an adult (coming to classes at NH) or you have a child (coming to classes at NH) that has tested positive for Covid-19 please do not come to classes/camps/workshops and let us know.

In the case of a 'national or local lockdown' due to Covid-19 or any similar infectious diseases, we would have to cancel all camps/classes (possibly at short notice) and would therefore be in touch with our next steps for existing bookings.

Chicken Pox:

If your child is at the contagious phase of chicken pox, please do not bring them to classes/camp at NHDA. If your child develops chicken pox within 24 hours of being at a class/camp at NHDA please let us know so we can inform other parents of children who may have been in contact.

Thank you for reading our NHDA Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policies, these are put in place to keep our students and NHDA staff safe. Please get in touch via email if you have any questions.
